Andrew Samuels

Coach Andrew Samuels

Coach Andrew Samuels started playing basketball when he was just six years old. He grew up playing high-level competitive basketball for various clubs in the Bay Area before first joining NorCal Rush in 2018. Andrew was a key leader and a vital piece of his team over the course of five years. Andrew was an incredibly important player and the spark that helped his team win the West Coast National Championship in Las Vegas during the Spring/Summer 2021 season. Coach Samuels is the third NorCal Rush player transitioning to a coaching role for the club, and he could not be more enthusiastic. He is a defensive minded player with incredible grit, intensity, and tenacity. In addition to be an exceptional basketball player, Andrew is a Division-1 soccer goalkeeper at Princeton University. His ability to lead his team on the field has transitioned well to leading his team on the court.
