Zac Levine
Founder & President
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Coach Zac Levine
Coach Zac Levine has been a basketball player all his life. Playing on various local travel teams and attending National tournaments, club basketball was no stranger to him. In early 2017 Coach Levine began his coaching career, starting at Burlingame Intermediate School. Levine knew immediately that he had found his true passion. Coach Levine founded NorCal Rush in the fall of 2017 with just one team, but by December he decided to expand the program. Since expansion, the club has grown to one of the largest on the Peninsula. And in 2025 Zac has embarked on the journey of expanding into San Francisco.
Zac's passion and his ability to connect with his players is unmatched in the Bay Area. Coach Levine has led many teams to championships on some of the biggest stages in club basketball on the West Coast. He has personally coached over 1,000 basketball games for boys & girls aged 9 to 17, helping propel over a dozen athletes to the collegiate level. Additionally, Coach Zac acts as an assistant coach for every NorCal Rush team. He attends nearly all practices and games, and is a mentor for all players in the club, on and off the basketball court. Zac is a Burlingame High School graduate and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Sport Management from the University of Michigan, while he continues to coach and run his club.
In 2025, Coach Ryan Silver and Silver Waves Media named Zac Levine one of the top 100 most impactful boys program directors on the West Coast.
“As a coach, my biggest asset to my players is teaching them how to persevere, because in basketball, like in life, everyone hits walls, but learning how to get through that wall is the most important skill I can teach.” - Zac Levine
