Coach Zack Tobita

Zack Tobita has been coaching middle and high school basketball for the last 13 years, spending the last eight years as the Head Coach for the JV Boys team at George Washington High School in San Francisco. Zack has also coached CYO, SFUSD Middle School, and Asian League. Prior to joining NorCal Rush, Zack along with Coach Brandon Teragawa started SF Samurai, an AAU program based out of San Francisco with middle school thru high school boys teams. After managing and coaching Samurai from 2021-2024, Zack is excited to start a new chapter with NorCal Rush to help build out the San Francisco program as the Director of San Francisco Operations.

"Coaching has always been a passion of mine and I'm eager to begin this new journey with NorCal Rush. We're a basketball program, but the bigger picture has always been helping these young people build their skills, confidence and network along with creating memories and hopefully friendships that last much longer than their days on the court with Rush. I'm incredibly excited for what's in store and can't wait to get to work."
